Welcome to Sydney...

So after travelling for nearly 3 months we arrive in Sydney =) This is where we will be for Christmas & New Year. Its still hard to get in the christmas mood when your surroundings are so different from what you normally expect at this time of year.
There is no biting wind.
There is no rain.
Its not cold.
Absolutely no sign or chance of frost or snow.
Blue skies are everywhere.
Currently jobless, so not winding down getting ready to leave work.
Dont have a car to drive, so aint preparing to do my normal 6 billion miles over christmas.
And dont have the game at old trafford on boxing day to look forward to :( badgers....
Yet its christmas eve tmw, so we are doing something we'd never do on Xmas eve. We are spending 3 hours climbing a bridge ;) The Sydney harbour bridge climb to be precise... :)
We are due to setoff at 7.35pm tmw night, so just before it goes dark here. When we get to the top it will be completely pitch black with just the starry lights of Sydney before us. Should be quite a view. Not allowed to carry anything, so no camera or camcorder, but as with everything weve done im sure there will be expensive "Official" photo's to buy of us at the top.
Weve now sorted our Christmas day meal & our New Years eve night out.
On christmas day we are off to the beach =) im sure it will feel strange swimming on christmas day let alone being on a beach, its going to be hard, but we must grin and bear it ;) At night time we have a meal booked at the summit restaurant in the center. Its a nice place high up with a revolving resturant.
For new years eve we are going to the Syndey Tower, the tallest building in sydney im told. Its not cheap, but we get a 6 course meal & a 360 degree rotating resturant to watch the fireworks at 9pm and 12pm. We will be there from 7 to 1am before we set upon the town centre. Ive had to hire a suit, which i wasnt planning on doing but needs must. Already had the fitting & picked it up along with some tastful shiney shoes. Lynseys found a nice little black number, which is small enough to pack & take with us after sydney. Fine dining for the new year makes a change from what we normally get up to, but it should be a laugh.
The picture above is of the monorail with the sydney tower in the background, taken on our first day in sydney.
