Aus - Alice Springs

We arrived into Alice Springs fresh from Perth, knowing it would be alot hotter. Nothing could of prepared us for when we landed and got off the plane.

Jesus Christ, How anything can survive there is beyond me. It was seriously hard to breath! Walking from the plane, into what can only be described as the smallest airport youve ever seen, its just one building that looks nothing like an airport! It was about 42 Degree's with god knows what level of humidity. There was a wind around which even with sun-glasses on, burnt your eye's everytime it came past. This was not what i ordered.

Walking as quickly as possible in that heat, we reached the safety of the "Airport building". Aircon, my saviour. After collecting our Ruck sacks we went outside to book some form of Xfer to our hotel for that night. Q burning eye's again from the wind. Ive got sunglasses on this should not be happening!. Ive been in america when i was young & that was hot, but nothing like this. We got on a Xfer coach with so called "Air-con". I actually think it would of been fine anywhere else, but here, it didnt seem to work very well. Probably melting into a non working state - just like me.

After smelting into the coach seats for an hour dropping various other mad people off, we arrived at our hotel in alice springs. Solitude of the air con again, A change of T-shirt very much required.
42 Degrees outside the receptionist assured us, Going to be like this for days now.., OMG and we are camping tmw for 3 days. Who decided to camp out here!!! Shit it was me....
Lynsey laughs...
We have a load more posts & pics to put on for Alice Springs & Cairns, but at the moment we are stuck with internet access on pc's running some form of **** software that ties down the entire O/S. Doesnt even look like windows, which usually aint a bad thing but in this case, i cant do anything. If i could just access some type of app to resize my photo's id be laughing. Cairns aint for computing! Not impressed...
